Training, riding, and showing (1) own sons, daughters and grand daughters of some “living legends” such as Colonel Freckles, Mr. Melody Jac, Gallo Del Cielo, Wimpys Little Step, and Von Reminiic, (2) own sons and daughters of stallions that have won the NRHA Futurity, the NRHA Derby, or the NRBC such as Yellow Jersey ,Frozen Enterprize., and Shine Chic Shine. Most of our horse been born here as have their mothers and grandmothers. The trainer will be part of a program that is (1) involved with young adults with and without learning disabilities, (2) believes that both horses and people like to be in control of their environment (3) teaches barefoot trimming techniques, Our equine jobs for youth program was developed to help youths primarily in the 18 to 23 year old age range find employment. Because of the strategies used to train our horses, all of the horses can be used in our jobs for youth program. Since the purpose of the program is to prepare young adults for equine related occupations these students are taught a wide variety of horse related skills based on their interests and background experiences. Some of the skills they are taught include but are not limited to barn maintenance, farm maintenance, horse handling, and barefoot trimming. We are located in Alvin, TX which is halfway between Houston and Galveston.
Requirements
Interested in training, riding, and showing (1) own sons, daughters and grand daughters of some “living legends” such as Colonel Freckles, Mr. Melody Jac, Gallo Del Cielo, Wimpys Little Step, and Von Reminiic, (2) own sons and daughters of stallions that have won the NRHA Futurity, the NRHA Derby, or the NRBC such as Yellow Jersey ,Frozen Enterprize., and Shine Chic Shine.
