Assistant Trainer/Barn Manager At 3-Day Eventing Barn

Creekside Eventing LLC is a private high-end equine facility located outside of Austin, TX focusing on 3-day eventing. We will provide top notch care and have state of the art facilities where the horses come first. Creekside is located on a 22-acre property in Georgetown, TX. We are looking to board and train 25-30 horses. We have a well equipped Barnmaster barn and finishing up the construction of a 100'X200' dressage arena and a 150'X250' show jumping arena that have waterless, dust-free Arena Green footing . We want to have 10-15 boarders that are serious about training for eventing or sub-discipline. The facility will have a gallop track for conditioning horses and eventually a small cross-country course. We are installing almost two miles of Derby fencing to fence the property and create more turnout.

We are looking for a barn manager/rider/assistant trainer. We are looking for someone to assist the head trainer, ride and train OTTB for resale. We also need this candidate to manage the barn and care of the horses.

Responsibilities are but not limited to: Managing daily horse care, vet and farrier, grooming, riding and restarting OTTB, possibly of showing and clinics. previous experience and knowledge of horses in three day eventing and care of show horses strong horse handling skills ability to drive farm equipment and light property maintenance mature, responsible, self-starter person preferred no drugs, alcohol, or smoking ability to ride high-end event horses a plus must be able to lift 50 lbs background checks and references required candidate will need to be organized, self-motivated, trustworthy, a team player and passionate about the sport housing on premises provided Open to summer help while we find someone more permanent
