Looking for a skilled groom to work full time out of our Florida location near Wellington. This is a small private training and sales facility for PRE horses.
Groom must be knowledgeable handling stallions and young horses. We like working with honest, clear minded people who have a sense of responsibility and take pride in what they do.
Responsibilities include full care of horses on the property and the upkeep of workspace and gear.. Usually there are around 6 but maybe up to 11 horses on-site during the winter season (No mucking stalls) (No landscaping) Tasks include: *Feeding am/pm and ensuring animals have clean water. *Providing turn out and washing or brushing horses down afterwards. *Grooming, braiding, clipping and tacking horses for FEI dressage trainer and select clients. *Application of topical, oral, IM and or IV treatments as prescribed. *Cleaning and conditioning tack *Keeping social and workspaces clean and orderly
Living quarters available in the horse trailer. Small but clean and practical for one person. 8 hr work days 6 days per week.

Coves Darden Farm is a large PRE breeding, training and sales facility located in Aiken county SC. We offer stud service to breeders around the world and produce an average of 20 foals per year which we train, and prepare for sale in Dressage. Our horses have competed successfully at the National Dressage Finals every year, at Devon and lamplight both in the young horse and developing Grand Prix as well as in Europe at the international level. We produce horses for competition and enjoyment.
