St Jacques Equestrian and North Star Farm have an opening for a working student position.
Working students work with Pierre and Samantha St Jacques, Grand Prix Dressage Rider and Advanced Event Rider, to learn and improve their skills as a horse person. Our working student program provides equestrians an opportunity to become a better horse person and rider with access to a premier show and training facility as well as access to training with an Olympian and a US Equestrian Team Gold Medalist. We specialize in dressage and jumping horses and can provide excellence in training to both the rider and horse. Working students have the opportunity to work and train with Pierre and Samantha to become better in all aspects of horsemanship. Samantha is an A pony clubber, Olympian and USDF silver medalist. Pierre is a USDF Gold Medalist and has ridden many horses to Grand Prix and won a gold medal with the US Team.
We operate a barn with wonderful horses and clients.
We have horses in all levels of training and we regularly attend shows throughout the midatlantic region.
Working students will continue their education in horse management, care, riding and training.
We are looking for a motivated and hard working individual who is interested in improving themselves and learning more about all aspect of horsemanship.
Duties will include all aspects of horse care including mucking stalls, grooming, tack cleaning, turning horses in and out, and more.
Working students have the opportunity to bring their own horse and benefit from lessons and training from Pierre and Samantha.
We provide housing, board, training and pay.
Six days a week of work.

Pierre and Samantha St Jacques are an equestrian team that offer excellence in training across a range of disciples. Samantha grew up riding hunters and spent time as a junior showing and competing in the hunter divisions. Samantha began eventing at a young age as well and was competing at the FEI level early in her teenage years. Samantha went on to compete at the North American Young Rider Championships before moving into the senior team training and then competing on the senior team at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. Samantha now continues to train and compete in eventing with an increased emphasis in hunters, jumpers and dressage as well. Pierre is a Grand Prix dressage rider that has decades of experience training dressage horses and riders to the highest level of the sport. Together, they operate North Star Farm in Allentown, PA. Pierre and Samantha are the head trainers and provide the equestrian community with premier training and services for equine enthusiasts.
