WHERE:
- Camp Cayuga - A private, coed, nonsectarian, sleepaway camp for children ages 6-16.
- Located in the Pocono Mountains, Wayne County, Honesdale, Pennsylvania (2½ hours from NYC).
- Same family ownership since 1963.

EMPLOYMENT DATES: - Late-June to Mid-August. Approximately 63 days.
HORSEMANSHIP PROGRAM: - Cayuga features a top quality Horseback Riding Program in a traditional camp setting, providing campers a well-rounded activity program with the opportunity to horseback ride everyday!
- Equitation classes from beginner to advanced levels;
- English and Western styles;
- Horse Jumping, Scenic Trail Riding, Intercamp Horse Shows, Horseback Overnights, Evening Trail Rides, and Horse-Care Instruction.
- Our commitment to safety is evident in the selection of our horsemanship staff, the format of our riding lessons, the condition of our facilities, and the quality of our tack and equipment. EQUESTRIAN CENTER:
- New Barn with tack room & office;

Requirements
- We’re seeking individuals with high moral character, who exhibit strong leadership ability, good management & teaching skills, an outgoing personality, good sense of humor, and the ability to work hard.
- Genuinely enjoy living & working with kids.
- Ensure top quality instruction at all skill levels;
- Enforce high-level safety standards;
- Experience in teaching horseback riding to children;
- Experience in managing an equestrian program;
- Ability to supervise staff;
- Ability to organize riding classes, including instructor & horse/rider assignments;
- Care for the horses & petting zoo animals;
- Maintain cleanliness of Equestrian Center;
- Ensure proper care of tack & equipment;
- Evaluate & qualify each instructor at camp prior to opening day;
- Certification in first-aid, horse first-aid, CPR, and CHA is preferred.

Accommodation
- The Horsemanship Director is provided private accommodations (upon request).
- Horsemanship Instructors reside in cabins with our campers.
- Accommodations are modern & comfortable, and include electrical outlets, plenty of hot/cold water, and a smoke detector.
- Each room features a private bathroom that includes a sink, toilet, and shower.
- Sleeping quarters are equipped a bed, cubbies for personal belongings, a closet, and screened windows.
