Fair Hill Therapeutic Riding Center is seeking a motivated individual for the position of part time Certified Therapeutic/Adaptive Riding Instructor. Fair Hill is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization serving individuals with various disabilities. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of instructing therapeutic riding lessons and un-mounted program activities according to industry standards and in a safe professional manner. One-year teaching experience is preferred. The employee is responsible for the following: • Completing an initial written evaluation of each new participant to establish a profile of abilities. • Developing lesson plans including objectives that align with goals. • Contacting clients to schedule mutually convenient sessions. • Managing Volunteers. • Providing documentation of workload limits of equine partners • Checking for changes in physical soundness and behavior of each equine prior to its assignment to an activity. • Maintaining tack and equipment care, organization, and needs. • Providing services and activities that are in compliance with PATH Intl. industry standards. Requirements
Certification in Therapeutic/Adaptive Horsemanship is required.
