Dressage and Eventing Stable in Northeast Ohio seeks experienced groom for 10-15 stall barn. Position includes being responsible for all functions relating to health and care of horses, cleanliness and maintenance of facility & equipment. Duties include • Monitor condition of horses and assist in basic horse care and maintenance of facilities. • Grooming daily and bathing horses to a high standard including mane and tail maintenance • Mucking stalls, filling water buckets, feeding, Preparation of grain • Scrubbing water and feed buckets • Turning out and bringing in horses from pastures • Bandaging legs • First aid for minor scrapes and wounds, caring for sick or injured horses • Report any maintenance issues on grounds or within stable • Insuring the safety of horses, clients, and other employees at all times
We spend Summers in Cleveland Ohio, and Winters in Aiken SC. We are a dynamic group who travel sometimes up to 3 weekends a month to horse shows. Our boutique facility caters to 10-15 horses, and maintains an excellent reputation in the upper level Eventing and Dressage community. Excellent pay.
Requirements
Must be mature individual with 3-5 years prior experience in similar position. Good communication skills and team player a must. References will be required and checked.
