Outstanding girls’ summer camp in Western North Carolina seeks riding director for summer 2023 season. Facilities include a well maintained 20 horse barn, covered riding arena and beautiful pastures. Camp Illahee is a traditional camp offering over 20 activities along with an excellent riding program. Director must be adult with college degree or equivalent experience. All candidates must have a genuine interest in working with college and working students and a positive attitude toward working as a team at camp.

Camp Illahee for girls offers an English hunt seat equestrian program for campers age 7 to 16. Facilities include a 22 horse well maintained rustic barn with office and tack room; a covered riding arena and three outdoor rings for lessons. Trails surround the pasture area for simple trail rides. Lessons include a focus on balanced seat riding as a foundation for walk; trot and canter skill progression. Advanced riders may progress to low jumps and cross rails. An emphasis and horsemanship and being camper focused is emphasized in the camp community and with staff members.
