Looking for a local part-time working student (priority given to one who can cover weekends). Student works off lessons on one of the lesson horses and multiple partial lessons starting youngsters, work in-hand on training horses, or restarting older horses. Minimum of two days a week, but three is even better. One lesson is given in exchange for a full day of work (~6 hours); can work two half-days in exchange for a lesson as well.
Applicants must be experienced at walk/trot/canter and with grooming and basic horse care (feed/water/hay). Dressage experience not required, but basic horsemanship is necessary.
There is one full-time live-in position available under a different advertisement. Perks include free auditing at clinics and free coaching at shows. The property is under development, however, so some of these opportunities may take a while to get started. Location is listed as Black Mountain but is actually closer to Bat Cave (sorry, no Batman sightings... yet). Ultimately, we'll be demonstrating Lipizzan quadrilles and pas de deux/trois at shows and exhibitions, so good opportunities for fun expos with beautiful white horses.

Classical dressage center and breeding farm of rare and endangered breeds of horses. Property in development, consisting of over 100 acres with forests, fields, mountains, rivers, and more gorgeous scenery. Currently we have one outdoor arena but hope to build a new covered arena in the near future.
