Active dressage training facility seeking full time staff member with the possibility of living in or in a roommate situation nearby. Duties include but are not limited to: feeding, turnout, grooming & tacking, exercising, stalls on some days, sweeping and other general barn chores. Our farm has 12 -14 horses, with expansion planned for the coming year. We are a organized group of folks who play nicely together and whose top priority is a peaceful quiet barn. Pay is commensurate with experience. Potential to train to an associate trainers position.

I keep and organized schedule so that my staff and I can have civilized working hours, with the day expected to end at 4 pm. Our horses work five days a week. I am a graduate of the L education program with distinction and a USDF bronze and silver medalist. My emphasis is on education, correct biomechanics and horse welfare.

We’re looking for an organized, independent individual, who can do basic multitasking functions. The ideal candidate will be working toward their bronze medal with the desire to move beyond that point. They will be brave both in the saddle and on the ground as I am a firm believer that the horses draw their confidence from their people. We are a husband and wife team that will be working alongside you, if we are willing to roll up our sleeves and work then you must expect to also. Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship, love a label maker and be neat freak. If a career at the breakneck pace of the hunter/jumper or eventing industries has left you a little burnt out, but you still love horses and humans, we want to meet you. While life with horses is inherently physical we have made the physical part as easy as possible. The job requires that you use your brain as well as your body.
