Ariel Grald Equestrian has an immediate opening for a full-time assistant groom in Ocala, Florida. Applicants should be highly motivated, reliable, detail-oriented and comfortable handling fit competition horses. Must be a self-starter who takes direction well and is a good team player. Our program currently contains 14 horses, ranging from green 4 year olds to 5*. Daily duties include feeding, turnout, mucking, tacking/untacking and after exercise care. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who wants to learn all aspects of the operation of a high-performance eventing program. Previous experience in a competition barn is preferred. This is challenging but rewarding work, and we all pitch in as a team. This job is 6 days/week, with travel to competitions throughout the US. We spend Nov-March in Ocala, FL and April-Oct in Southern Pines, NC. On-farm housing and competitive salary (depending on experience) are provided. Must have own transportation. This is not a riding position.
