Opportunity to work on one of the most beautiful horse farms in America. Job responsibilities include training horses and keeping them fit through structured programs and hacking. Job includes responsibilities associated with caring for horses with specific duties: feeding, grooming, fly spraying, put in stalls, turn-out, clean stalls and general barn chores and for minor veterinary care (treat wounds, report illness or injury, dispense medication). Work will include riding with clients and preparing leased horses for Ride Outside the Ring program and events. Experience driving a horse trailer A+.
Job is physically demanding and requires handling horses. Horses are turned out so walking to paddocks and leading horses to and from barn is required.
Work 40-hour week, five days a week, 7a.m. - 3p.m. Job requires working outside year-round. Paid leave, health insurance are included in compensation package. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays (can rotate depending on staff).
Will consider applicants who have experience mowing, tractor, fence repairs & feeding/ horse care.
Job requirements may include other assignments related to special events such as weekend Hunter Paces.
Must have valid DL. Background check, references and pre-employment physical (employer paid) required.
Requirements
Foundational horsemanship highly desirable. Experienced driving a 4-horse slant load trailer highly desirable. Looking for all around horse person who understands different horses, is patient and consistent.

Miles of trails, fields, jumps throughout. Hunter Paces 2-3 times a year, Ride Outside the Ring program - our staff accompany experienced riders through property on our horses or their horses. Horses range from ponies to OTTBs.
