Frost Valley YMCA’s Equestrian Team is looking for a seasonal Barn Manager to over see our Main Camp Barn.
The Main Barn Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the main camp horse barn. This person will be responsible for the daily care and supervision of 30 horses and 2-3 seasonal instructors. They will ensure the barn runs smoothly and upholds the highest safety standards. This person will supervise mounted lessons and trail rides, give feedback to instructors, watch horses and make changes as needed.
The Main Barn Manager will ensure that horses are cared for to the highest standard, including checking pastures, water and food sources.
The successful candidate is detail oriented, able to multitask, able to supervise others effectively, and truly enjoys working with horses and children.
The Main Barn Manager will be CHA certified (can be completed upon hire).
