We have an amazing team and great group of clients and are searching for an individual who is able to keep up with a fast paced work environment and become a part of our barn family.

We have 20+ horses on property, most of which are currently in training with a wide range of goals. Between dressage shows and horse trials we tend to be away 2-3 weekends/month during the summer and we need someone we can leave to run the farm on those occasions.

Daily tasks will include: managing staff and delegating tasks for the day, stalls, turn-in/out, making grain, inventory of supplements and medications, assisting with vet and farrier, tack ups, and occasionally grooming at shows. You will be working under the manager/dressage trainer but you will be the eyes in the barn and responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly throughout the day. There can be opportunities to ride based on prior experience but this is not a riding position.

This is a live in position and there is a one bedroom private apartment above the barn available. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate a horse at this time. Ideally we would like someone to start ASAP and all potential applicants need to be able to come in for an interview. Please PM me directly or email me at lmmar929@gmail.com.

Dressage Eventing Showing Training

Stony Creek Horse Farm is situated on 7 idyllic acres in the heart of North Salem, along the rushing stony creek. An equestrian paradise surrounded by 150 acres of wide open land and miles pf woodland trails, we are adjacent to Baxter Preserve. We offer expert equine care, boarding, and training (specifically in dressage and eventing disciplines). Lydia Sarro is the owner of the farm and eventing training. She has competed successfully through the 2* level of eventing and hopes to compete through advanced. Lisa Martin is the primary dressage and manager at StonyCreek. Lisa has goals of achieving her Gold Medal! She has competed though I-1 and loves to compete but also is passionate about teaching and training the horses at home. There are many opportunities to compete throughout the year. But, when we are at Stony Creek there are miles of trails to enjoy with tons of natural jumps as well as an indoor and outdoor arena.
