We are looking for farm staff to start in the spring when our herd comes home from Florida. Our 3 horses have been in full work with focus on natural horsemanship with eventing trainers.
This live in position is basically sole care and includes training/riding the horses and teaching 2 adult very amateur riders. Interested candidates should have experience with farm equipment including tractor and compost spreader, indoor arena drag and gooseneck 2+1 trailer.
Our location offers a quiet, comfortable life and opportunity to be a part of our back yard, non-competitive scene. Would be a great position for someone wanting a change from a show circuit or big lesson barn.
Property management includes (but not limited to) paddock picking and identifying hazards for horse and rider. Best person will be detailed oriented, a self starter and one who enjoys being outside in all kinds of weather and maintaining a safe, clean, beautiful place for horses to be healthy and happy.
We have shared housing on the property in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home.
Annual salary is based on experience.
Open to conversation about boarding a horse or starting a project/sales horse.
