We are looking to hire a Horseback Riding Program Director. If you are passionate about working with children and looking for a close community, join us for an unforgettable summer!
Camp Birch Hill is a classic New England summer camp. We are an all-gender camp for ages 6-16 at the foot of New Hampshire's White Mountains. With a focus on fun, our elective program lets campers choose from over 50 activities to create their own personalized schedule. The camp itself is nestled into the woods against a pond with 2,000ft of waterfront and a private sandy beach. In addition to our stables, we have a high ropes course, an arts and crafts pavilion, a theater program, sports fields, tennis courts, water sports, and much more.
Our Horseback Riding Director is responsible for managing 5-6 classes per day with campers age 6-16. They supervise a small staff of riding instructors and oversee proper education, care for horses, use of equipment, etc.
When not working at the stables, Horseback Riding Directors get the full camp counselor experience. You will spend the summer sleeping in a cabin, enjoying evenings around a campfire, traveling around New England with co-workers on days off, and building close, lasting connections within our small community. For the right person (based on age, experience, etc.) we will occasionally consider combining the Horseback Riding Director position with the Stable Manager position. This can sometimes be helpful for those who want a more private housing situation, but it comes with quite a bit more responsibilities. Contact us for more information.
