Modest-sized state of the art equestrian facility focused on high quality horse care in Kensington, New Hampshire seeking dedicated and knowledgeable new team members. Regular part-time hour shifts (potential for cumulative full-time hours for the right candidate):

Shift 1: 6:30/7:00am - noon Shift 2: 1:00/2:00 - 5:00pm start times depend upon which day of the week

Duties include turn-out/turn-in, stall cleaning, feeding, blanket/boot changes, general upkeep of barn facility, occasional grooming/bathing horses, monitoring horses in turn-out, identifying general equine health and safety issues, barn laundry, occasional tack cleaning, and other related duties as assigned.

This is a non-riding position. No living accommodations available.

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of and substantial experience in equine care
• Good judgment and maturity
• Ability to remain on your feet for several hours at a time
• Work independently and collaboratively as needed
• Communicate effectively and respectfully
• Lift and carry 50lbs
• Demonstrated ability to safely and calmly handle large, energetic horses routinely
• Receive and follow directions well
• Basic equine first aid

Preferred Skills:

• Strong experience operating farm equipment (i.e., tractors, heavy duty trucks & trailers, arena groomers, hand tools, etc.) preferred.

Yorkfield Stables is a barn designed for ease of use and maintenance. Heated barn and indoor arena, heated automatic waterers inside and outside in paddocks, in-house commercial washer/dryer for horse blankets, saddle pads, etc., climate-controlled staff office/tack room and grain room, full kitchen and community lounge space, hay/manure building connected by covered walkway to main barn. We are looking for staff members who want to become a valued, long-term part of the Yorkfield Team.

Minimum 18 years of age Driver's license, reliable transportation
