Hello! My name is Danielle, I am actively looking for a manager/rider/instructor position. My background is in hunters and restarting and reselling OTTBs, but my passion is 100% equine of all disciplines. I have experience in all positions of equine care from stall cleaner to trainer and manager. I am looking for a permanent, long-term position and I am open to relocation. I have two horses of my own; a 21 year old OTTB gelding whom enjoys retirement and trail riders and a 7 year old OTTB mare.
We are looking to hire a Ranch Manager to aid with our training horses and youngsters coming up. Our ideal candidate would be responsible for all horses on property. We have 10acres with about 20 head of horses in a mix of stalls and paddocks. Grooming, tacking/untacking, feeding, cleaning, fence maintenance, arena upkeep, lunging, bathing, veterinary, holding for the farrier, turn out, traveling to shows. We focus mainly on Working equitation, classical dressage and starting youngsters. We are a professional but fun environment looking for serious help with all of our horses. Room in the main house with a private bath is included in compensation.
A typical day would consist of feeding/cleaning stalls and paddocks, checking automatic waterers, maintaining the arena and fencing as needed, grooming for trainers/putting horses on eurosizer, lunging, riding (for the right candidate), blanketing/unblanketing, cleaning tack and maintaining the property as needed. A stellar opportunity for someone who wants to continue their knowledge in starting young horses and in riding classical dressage and working equitation.
