Life Journey Psychological Services at Rivendell Stable is looking for employees not contractors who are psychologists, counselors or social workers who are also equine therapists to provide equine therapy in Lowell Michigan. This is psychotherapy not physical or occupational therapy. You will provide psychotherapy at one of the most prestigious barns in West Michigan. This is a 30 acre, 35 stall, 100 x 200 indoor arena, heated tack area equine facility with beautifully decorated psychological offices. We strive for practitioners who come from diverse perspectives with the common thread of achieving outcomes for clients. You must have a state limited or full license in psychology, social work or counseling. You do not have to be a certified equine therapist but you must have an extensive background in working with horses and be willing to get certified within a year. Although many insurance panels are closed, you can still be credentialed with Life Journey as we have special relationships with most of the major insurance companies including BCBS, BCN, Priority Health, Cigna, Aetna and many others with closed panels. Our facilities are available 24/7 for therapy so a variety of work schedules are possible. Part-time therapists must be planning to build to a 15 client minimum. Ideal full time candidates begin at *$70,000 per year with Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance, Dental, Optical, Short and Long Term Disability and Life Insurance. Benefits package includes two weeks of paid vacation, 8 holidays and 5 sick days. These are not grant dependent or independent contractor positions but permanent salaried positions. Ideal Candidates Qualifications: -Limited or full licensure in the State of Michigan as a Psychologist (LP), Limited Licensed Psychologist (DLLP or LLP), Social Worker (LLMSW or LMSW), Professional Counselor (LLPC or LPC). -Must have advanced English Riding Experience, Ability to Teach and Equine handling experience
- Equine Therapist (Eagala or Path Certification desirable but not mandatory) -Independently paneled with major insurances (we credential if you are not already) -Relationship and solution focused -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Technologically savvy -A person who is in awe of life and humbled to serve others

We offer Intermediate and Advanced Hunter/Jumper, Eventing, Dressage, Psychological equine therapy and a variety of beginner lessons, camps and educational programs. The barn is staffed with 3 full time, salaried Instructors and 2 part-time Instructors; 5 full time Therapists; full time Director of Property; Head Equine Staff and several Barn Staff in addition to the Director.
