Seeking experienced Head Trainer for comprehensive training and adoption program of over 180 rescue horses.

THE JOB: Head Trainer supervises two assistant trainers. Ideal individual will have experience riding in various disciplines with a passion for humane horsemanship and quality foundation building. Our horses are rescued from Amish and Mennonite working communities and require retraining into safe and reliable riding mounts. On occasion, some horses may require full starting or restarting. Must be able to drive truck and trailer. Independent control over training/tack budget annually. Tues- Sat work schedule.

OUR TRAINING THEORY: Kindness, softness, patience. Opportunities to have continuing education with nationally recognized horsemanship trainers annually.

SALARY: Within advertised range depending on experience. Annual Cost of Living raise in April, and annual 5% step increase at anniversary date. Housing may be available. Cannot house a horse, but there are many boarding opportunities nearby.
