Position requires a combination of stable management, teaching, and some riding.
The work week runs 6 days. You must truly enjoy and have experience working with horses and beginner riders. You will have daily interaction with the public, so a pleasant personality is a must! Stable management duties include: Vet work (knowledge of IM & IV a plus, but not mandatory), making feeds, assisting the vets and farriers, etc. Teaching duties include working with beginner children and adults. Riding duties include light hacking for evaluation and exercise purposes.
Non-smokers only. Sorry, no small pets allowed.

We're situated in an affluent area outside Washington, DC on approximately 40 acres. Our facilities include 3 indoor arenas and two outdoor arenas. We can house as many as 70 horses and employ approximately 30 persons. Many of our employees live on the premises in rent-free housing.
This position pays hourly wages with rent-free semi-private housing (utilities not included), dress code clothing (required). Horse boarding for privately owned staff horses is available.
There are numerous semi-private housing units on the property, all just seconds away from the riding facility and within a short distance to shopping, dining and other amenities.
