We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and good communication skills to join our barn family.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, general animal care, grooming, turn in/turn out, administering supplements/medications, feed, hay, water, cleaning run-ins/waterers, stacking hay, operating tractor/mower/trimmer/gator, dragging fields, cleaning tack, general minor farm maintenance and cleaning, inventory of supplies, handling animals for vet/blacksmith/etc.
Weekend and weekday, morning and afternoon shifts. Must be dependable, have own transportation, and be able to come to work in rain, snow, or if you're having an off day. Animals need care regardless of what's going on in our world.
Must have horse care experience and knowledge. Livestock experience and knowledge are a plus, but not required. We currently have 16 horses who range from young to old, barn cats, chickens, and 9 livestock pets (mini cows, sheep, mini pigs, donkey). This is not a riding job. All workers are W-2, paid hourly, have sick leave and receive bonuses. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and speak fluent English.
