Experienced Arena Manager for riding centre promoting Nez Perce cultural preservation, community pride, and community healing through activities primarily centered around the Appaloosa horse.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Overseeing every aspect of horse care, from vet visits to exercise to supplies.
- Quick decision making, adaptability and leadership qualities.
- Supervision of facility staff while on site.
- Work in conjunction with other staff to ensure that each horse is properly exercised, receiving adequate care and ready for work.
- Supervision of barn/ stable employees while on site.
- Orienting new employees to arena rules, operations and schedule feeding schedules if other staff is unavailable.
Must have prior management experience with extensive horse knowledge.
Driver's license with ability to be insured.
Good communication skills and documentation development and maintenance.
Requirements
High school diploma and drivers license with the ability to be insured. Extensive horse knowledge. Prior supervision experience, good communications skills and documentation development/maintenance. Prior facility management experience with references.

We have a new indoor arena that measures 80 x 120'. We have an outdoor facility that is 120 x 240'. We have 12 acres of land that holds the 12 appaloosas, and the rest is used for the arena and outside hay area.
