Therapeutic Riding Instructor

Looking for a part time therapeutic riding instructor to join our team of committed and passionate individuals to serve individuals (adults & children) with special needs, disabilities, injuries and debilitating diseases. Quantum Leap Farm is a comprehensive equine assisted therapy facility. We exist to improve the quality of live and cultivate human potential through equine therapy. We have been around for 21 years and work with adults and children with special needs, Military service members, Veterans and their family members and children with pediatric cancer as well as their siblings and family members. We offer therapeutic riding, mental health program, occupational therapy, vocational prep program, military retreats, family re-integration days and personal & professional growth opportunities.
The job consists of teaching adaptive riding sessions in a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment. Teaching abilities to include ability to teach basic to moderate riding skills, horsemanship skills and horse knowledge. With an emphasis on safety and fun and the ability to help each individual reach their goals. The focus on sessions is on abilities vs disabilities as the instructor must be able to adapt sessions to the level of the rider. This position requires the ability to work with adults and children with special needs. Experience working with individuals with special needs and disabilities is prioritized but not necessary if individual shows other qualities needed. Individual must have extensive experience working with and riding horses and must have prior experience teaching. Experience with equine therapy is a definite plus but candidates who do not have the experience but show a willingness and aptitude for working in the field will be considered.
