Small, private equestrian property is offering an opportunity for an experienced horse handler, trainer or breeder to live in a comfortable, fully-renovated apartment on a quiet family ranch. Situated among the peaceful rolling hills of Dade City, Florida, this 20-acre ranch is conveniently located less than 45 minutes north of downtown Tampa and 75 minutes south of premier equestrian venues in Ocala. In exchange for moderate animal care and farm maintenance (feeding horses, mowing, occasional pet sitting, etc.) we offer a fully furnished, one-bedroom apartment, complete with new king bedroom suite and linens, sleeper sofa, cozy recliners, television, dining set, rugs and decorative features. Electricity, water, and slow but reliable internet is also provided. This is an ideal situation for a trainer or breeder interested in starting his or her own small program. There are newly refurbished 12’ x 12’ horse stalls available for your use, as well as breeding and training amenities on site: arena with jumps, large round pen, air-conditioned tack room, hot walker, fenced riding path, hot/cold wash stalls, AI phantom, mare/foal stalls, and small satellite animal care clinic. One tidy cat or small, non-aggressive breed dog permitted. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and comfortable living in very close proximity of the ranch owners. Smoking, illegal drugs, and the inappropriate use of alcohol or prescription drugs will not be tolerated. This position also offers up to 20 hours per week of additional work at a modest hourly rate.

The apartment was freshly painted and offers granite countertops, lots of oak cabinets in the kitchen, and a washer and dryer in close proximity.
