We are looking for our forever caregiver on our small, horse farm in West Palm Beach, Florida. 11 stalls, beautiful, quiet and serene environment. No show people, no trainers and no children here. Just middle-aged women who love our horses, are jeans and t-shirt types of people who enjoy casual trail rides.
If you are a low maintenance, no history of drug use, drinking excessively, smoking and mature we'd like to speak with you. We are the job that is your semi-retirement job. You're the type that needs to be around horses, cares about the cleanliness of the stalls and the barn for the horses and customers and wants to add to the pleasant environment.
The job is for a strong individual who can fix a fence, climb a ladder to clean stall fans, lift shaving bags and feed bags, clean stalls and is not afraid to jump on a mower or trim a tree. We are on 5 acres and need someone who has experience handling older horses with care and compassion. We are nice people who will always treat you with respect and would like someone who doesn't take short cuts or advantage.
We are a very quiet barn. Although we have customers who ride, they are low-key and often ride in the evenings or on the weekends. There is a chance it will be just you and the horses during the day. The owner lives on the property and works from home and is available if needed, but the right individual doesn't need to be micro-managed in order to do a good job. Private, relaxing and beautiful, 5-acre farm offering a low stress job caring for horses 6 days a week.
Candidate will have minimum 5 years' recent experience cleaning stalls, handling horses, and maintaining cleanliness of an equine barn and property. This job does not involve any riding, training or tacking up of horses.
This is a fantastic position for someone with a passion for horses and a love of the outdoors. We offer a very peaceful, and quiet environment.
