We are looking for farm labor on several morning and afternoon shifts, possibly a few evenings may become available. Duties include feeding, turn out, mixing grain rations, blowing isle and general cleaning (ie tack room, bathroom, wash racks). Some stall cleaning on certain days. Applicant needs to have horse experience, be able to be at the farm at 6:15 promptly (for morning shifts), and be able to work in the Florida heat and humidity. We are a dressage facility. Possible opportunities for individuals to exchange work for lessons/horse boarding depending on skill level etc. Definitely a job that can grow into more as management and riding skills develop.
Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, able to handle the Florida climate, be reliable and communicate. Must have experience handling horses.
Job Benefits
Depending on ability and availability it may be possible to accommodate a horse in return for labor. This is highly dependent on compatibility, our available stalls and the level of care the horse requires. This would be an option available after the individual has been in our program for at least 30 days.
