Full Time/Part Time Barn Help for Friendly Boarding, Training and Instruction Barn. NO wheelbarrows, NO mud, super organized, time clock so you get paid for every hour you work, and only 12 stalls. Flexible Schedule.
All the usual duties:
- Mucking (no wheelbarrows and only 12 stalls)
- Feeding
- Grooming
- Turning out
- Tacking up & untacking,
- Tack cleaning, wrapping, soaking, etc.
Tractor driver and /or US Pony Club experience a plus.
May include groundwork and/or riding as well as application of PEMF and other alternative therapies, depending upon experience.
Weekdays, Saturdays/Sundays, morning or all day,
Schedule flexible.
Requirements
Must know how to do standard barn chores including grooming and tacking up, as well as handle mature horses. Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds (grain bags, water buckets), work on feet for hours, be savvy but kind around horses. Able and willing to follow instructions and be part of a team, Drive a tractor and navigate uneven ground unassisted.
Have an open mind towards complimentary medical therapies.
We use homeopathy, and have Class IV Laser, Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Wave (PEMF) therapies, and also utilize acupuncture, chiropractic, and trigger-point myotherapy.
MUST BE LEGAL to work in US - this means a US citizen, a green card, or a valid student visa .

We are a CT State Horse Farm of Environmental excellence with the following pristine facilities - 2 barns with 12 insulated rubber-matted stalls, Staff and Boarder's tack rooms, inside and outside wash stalls, 10 sand/ 4 double fenced pasture turnout areas, covered lunging arena with enclosed viewing area, 70 x 160 rubber covered/ lighted outdoor arena with enclosed viewing area, hot walker, mini medical paddocks, run-in sheds w. heated stock tanks, compost facility, mini trail, picnic area. In addition to boarding horses, we provide classical seat riding instruction as well as equine wellness services, including Class IV Therapeutic Laser, homeopathy & nutritional approaches, corrective shoeing, & saddle-fitting. And we are also an educational institution & United States Pony Club Riding Center. We serve as an intern site for high school ag-tech programs, Vet tech programs & universities. We also teach anxious students and students with learning disabilities.
