We have an opening for weekend help on our farm. Basic duties include feeding, mucking a few stalls and some outdoor shelter areas, harrowing, and other general farm duties. Additional hours available for fence projects and maintenance work depending on qualifications. Hours: Friday 11-6, Saturday and Sunday 9-6. Horse handling experience is required.
Must be physicially able to lift 60 lbs, with no limitations to perform the labor required on a farm. You must be organized, work efficiently and be willing to learn and follow instructions. Horse handling experience is required.
Unable to provide living accomodations at this time. There is access to restroom facilities and a refrigerator. As space allows, bringing a horse could be possible, we just don't have space right now.

Untethered Spirits Farm is a private warmblood breeding facility and young horse raising center. Most of our horses are bred for the English disciplines, and a few each year are kept for our performance program, or as future breeding stock. We also provide care for retired show horses, and keep our retired broodmares, who serve a valuable role in raising our young horses, and have earned the right to a stress free life. An essential requirement for anyone to work on our farm and with our horses, is that they are honest and trustworthy individuals who take pride in their work, and maintain a spirit of harmony and teamwork in the workplace with both horses and humans. The foundation and philosophy of our training program is that we first focus on developing an honest relationship with the horse before any training activities are started. Once trust has been established, training can proceed without force in a positive way, using techniques that are matched to the horse as an individual.
