Hello, I am looking for someone to work on our sports horse stud, to be involved with general yard duties including mucking out, feeding, horse care, riding and helping with the day to day running of the yard but who would also be happy to help stop our household routine falling apart!!
I have two children in junior school and an elderly mother and I can't keep on top of the housework as well as everything else, so I'd love to find a Mrs Doubtfire who loves horses, dogs and a good life in the country. Our daughters are polite, good company and pretty self sufficient but need some help tacking and untacking their ponies when they ride.
The broodmares will start to come in to get ready for foaling in a few weeks time, so it's a lovely exciting time to be joining an active, hands-on stud. We have a great small team of committed people, most of whom live on site. Everyone works well together but they also have their own individual responsibilities. We socialise as a team quite regularly but we don't live in each other's pockets. Our longest member of staff has been here for over 8 years, so I feel we have a happy team.
Requirements
We have a great team of people already and need one more person to help with the horses as well as spending a few hours in our family home each week. We are looking for a team person who can also work on their own when required. Ideally, the successful candidate would have a towing license and be experienced with handling and transporting youngstock but this is not essential and we offer training.
A good sense of humour helps and a genuine love of young sports horses, with the desire to give them a really good, steady start in their working life. You will be working with an established team who are friendly and welcoming.

Accommodation
We have modern staff accommodation in centrally heated, double glazed apartments. The apartment which comes with this job is a large 3 bed flat with a main double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, utility room, spacious open plan kitchen/living/dining room. There are two other bedrooms off the entrance hall, one is a small double, the other a single. The views from this apartment are really breathtaking out over the Gordano Valley and towards the Welsh Hills.
