Summer is on the way and the opportunity is here to be working outside in the glorious sun surrounded by the beautiful matamata countryside, so come join our team farming horses! We are a thoroughbred (racehorse) stud farm that breeds, produces and sells thoroughbreds.

We have four positions available for the upcoming season. 2 for people with some form of horse experience, and 2 for people who are not experienced with horses but keen to learn and start off in this wonderful industry.

The entry level position, no previous experience with horses is required, just a can-do attitude, with loads of enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Successful applicants will have the following skills: • Common Sense • Willingness to learn • Keen to work outdoors • Good communication • Ability to work in a team and independently • Passionate, enthusiastic, patient and motivated

The experienced position is for people who have some experience with horses, and possess the following skill set: • A willingness to learn • Excellent animal husbandry skills • Confident catching, leading, rugging and general horse skills • Fantastic attention to detail • Passionate, enthusiastic, patient and motivated • Ability to work well both in a team and independently • Excellent communication skills • Current drivers’ licence • Clean criminal record

Applicants for either position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

On farm accommodation will be available for the successful candidate if required
