Grenaby Estates are looking for an experienced, capable, self-motivated, reliable, hardworking and positive head groom. BHSAI preferred. HGV an advantage.

We are a busy livery yard/riding school based in the South of the beautiful Isle of Man. General yard duties include, but are not limited to, turn out, bringing in, mucking out, feeding & tack cleaning, grooming, poo picking, and some exercising of horses. A good team player and someone willing and able to take sole responsibility.

• Enjoy looking after horses and all the jobs that come with meeting their daily needs. • Have good communication skills and enthusiasm. • Be able to apply good organisational skills. • Be able to work alongside others, including Yard Manager, Grooms and Estate Team. • Offer support to less experienced staff, helping them reach their potential. • Take responsibility for all horses' daily basic needs and welfare. • Be clean and tidy-minded and have high standards, helping to maintain the yard, including rugs, grooming kits, tool room, feed room etc. • Be physically fit and be able to carry out the daily duties.

Training is available from a BHSII, and there is an opportunity to teach and compete if you'd like to. A relaxed but professional atmosphere. First Aid Training and DBS will be required. Excellent References are essential.

Required Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Horse care Or BHS Stage 1, 2 (and ideally Stage 3) in Horse Care Applicant must have had previous experience working on a yard.
