We are looking for a Full or Part Time employee who is a qualified Instructor to join our team at our family run yard in Kildare. The correct candidate must have either their BHS Stage 2 / PTT , HSI Level 1 or Level 6 QQI (Kildalton / Cafre etc). The successful candidate will report into the riding centre manager.
The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team on the day to day of our small Riding School and our livery yard in Co. Kildare.
Riding school duties will include teaching riding lessons, looking after our school ponies, teaching pony camps, mucking out, feeding, catching in and turning out and exercising horses / ponies.
The role is a hybrid role so may also include some livery yard duties - catching in, turning out, mucking out, exercising, feeding.
Regular lessons are mainly group lessons for children and some adults. We also run pony camps during school holidays (Easter / Halloween / Summer).
All admin (lists / texts / emails etc ) is done for our instructors by our office so that instructors can concentrate on teaching.
Must be able to work in a sole charge environment as well as being able to work as part of a wider team.
Own horse welcome on employee livery rate. BHS training via our BHSI is available towards BHS Exams level 1-5.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, enterprising and happy to work with children.
They must have good communication skills and be comfortable and confident whilst dealing with customers. They must be able to work as part of a wider team.
Minimum BHS Stage 2 and PTT (or equivalent) qualification or QQI Level 6

We provide top class livery to our clients and pride ourselves on giving horses a routine in which they thrive. In our riding school we teach children to ride using correct basic principles with an emphasis on fun and learning. We produce sport horses for the Irish and international market.
Our onsite BHSI and BHS Assessor provides BHS Training and sign off and all team members can benefit from training towards exams of all levels. Our working pupils train towards BHS riding, lunging, care and coaching through our onsite BHSI.
