We are looking for an instructor/assistant yard manager to join our team at our riding school/livery yard/transport yard, based in the beautiful scenic countryside (ten mins from Killarney town) in the South West of Ireland. Position involves teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities in both groups and private lessons including those with additional challenges and needs in our therapeutic riding lessons as well as assisting with all general yard duties including but not limited to; feeding twice daily, mucking out daily, skipping out as required, grooming and upkeeping horses to a top standard, exercising and schooling horses. You will also be asked to assist with managing, organising and helping with seasonal camps. We also have a sister company - PT International Horse Transport - providing national and international horse transport, specialising in European horse transport. This position involves handling horses, preparing them for transport, preparing the truck for transport and occasionally assisting with the transport of horses. Person should be fun, confident, self-motivated and not afraid of hard work, with a passion for working with horses and children. Leadership and communication skills essential. Candidate should be comfortable working alone and in company. Previous experience with horses essential. An ideal position for someone who wants to develop themselves within the equine industry, as part of a fun, friendly team at a busy riding school. Requirements
You will be Garda vetted before beginning work with us. You must be confident and willing to work alone and as part of a team. You must be confident, outgoing, fun, and able to work under pressure. You will be asked to help out in our therapeutic riding programme for both children and adults with additional needs and challenges, as well as teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities. We are looking not for someone who just wants a job, but for someone who wants to be part of a team. This job is for someone that in not afraid of hard, physical work and is enthusiastic about their work with horses. Please don't not apply if you have never worked with horses.

Accommodation
You will be provided with a fully equipped 2 bedroom, fully central heated mobile home accommodation located on site. You may have to share with one other person, but advance notice will be given. Accommodation is for staff only and may not be shared by partners or friends without permission. WIFI is provided. All bills for accommodation will be covered by the company.

We are a family run, commercial riding school, livery, sales and showjumping yard. We have 14 stables and a covered riding school arena, turnout paddock and grazing land. We offer private and group lessons for all levels, from beginners to advanced, therapeutic riding lessons for riders with special requirements. We also run a full series of seasonal Pony Camps for Irish and International children. Our sister company PT Equestrian deals mainly with the showjumping and sales side of our business, from training horses, and competing, to schooling and preparing horses for sale to the general running of the yard. We also have a horse transport business that transports horse all over Europe.
