I can handle quirky, spooky, etc. I manage meds, give shots, schedule for the vet, farrier, and alternate therapies. I own and drive a 2-horse and am happy to learn a bigger rig.

I am also an experienced rider and I'm not afraid of hard work. I was born in Zimbabwe, Africa and I have been living in Zambia for 18 years so I am used to working hard and working with all sorts of horses. I am a British Citizen and I have now moved to the UK to work on horses here

The salary depends of course on the experience and the tasks that could be filled by the candidate. If you have handyman skills it’s a plus, daily tractor work includes bringing hay and stray to the paddocks, the ability to get into small spaces as our stock barn is quite small, work on the paddock mashing and harrowing. fixing fences. About horses, thoroughbreds are quite electric therefore I’m expecting people to have a calm energy and if you don’t have experience with young horses we will teach you as long as you are not afraid of horses. For the riding part, my trainer will be happy to give you the opportunity to ride at the training center. This is a boutique thoroughbred farm and we are looking for someone to help with all usual yard work, stable work, handling horses and property maintenance. General duties include handling of young stock, broodmares and colts. Feeding, grooming, stable duties, leading to paddocks. At times you may be left in sole charge of the yard. We can have sometimes over 20 horses on site, foals and yearlings included. You can come for a minimum of 6 months up to a year. We are friendly and flexible as long as it works both ways. We adapt to each individual, but experience with horses and thoroughbreds is preferred. Must be observant, orderly, organized and love horses. A great opportunity to learn more, to be given responsibility and at the same time learn French and be immersed into the French culture!

Accommodation is within the family home for the moment until we finish the renovation on another house that is on site.
You have no expenses on a daily basis.
