My name is Sinead Murphy. I am 18 years old and living in Co. Kerry. I am currently in kildalton college doing the level 5 horsemanship and equitation course. I have my bhs stage 1 (ride and care) and my ride road safe completed. I have experience in many different yards doing all yard duties and exercising horses. I am looking for a summer job from June - September. I would be happy working as a stable hand or groom with the opportunity to ride.Willing to travel with accommodation.
I graduated in May 2021 from Stephens College with an Equestrian Studies degree. I’m just bursting with ideas to make your barn the best it can be!
Working with a dedicated and enthusiastic team looking after a horse breeding and training farm in Canada.
The job consists of daily barn chores with the ability to multitask on the farm.
Tractor experience is preferable although training will be given.
The seasons bring different challenges so there is always new things to learn and do,

Experienced in, and awareness of, what it takes to farm successfully.
Flexi-time hours; seasonally hours longer (eg.horseshow season, haymaking) but balanced with paid extra days off in winter.
Require someone honest in all they do, motivated, optimisitic.
Consistent routine work routine however business involves a variety of ventures so no two days are the same.
Must be able to efficiently manage time; prioritize tasks, have solid farm skills but be willing to learn new ones; and have good practical problem solving skills.
After initial training work you are trusted to be responsible for completing responsibilities largely unsupervised but trusted to regularly and effectively communicate with the rest of our young, motivated team.
Working on a horse farm demands patience with the animals plus a positive, calm attitude - necessary to succeed with the two-legged residents as well! Sense of humour a bonus.

Prepared to make at least a one year commitment but is hopefully looking for a career.
Well-above standard furnished accommodation with many extras. Own room in either one or two bedroom separate house on farm.
