Attaché Stables is a show jumping facility located in Calgary, Alberta. Our stable is a world class training and equestrian center that features both indoor and outdoor riding arenas and lodges up to 30 horses.
The Horse Stable Foreman is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our world class equestrian stable that houses high performance equestrian athletes including potential Canadian team athletes. This position also involves the following duties and responsibilities: • Co-ordinate all aspects of care specific to each equine athlete and in accordance with FEI rules and regulations. • Communicate with Veterinarians, Farriers and Therapists and oversee administration of medication and other therapy as required. • Design nutrition, weight management and exercise programs suitable for high performance equestrian athletes. • Maintain all required records • Arrange for transport of equine athletes to international shows, including arrangements for any quarantine required. • Direct and oversee grooming and hoof care management programs • Determine staffing requirements, hire, train and supervise staff and grooms
Several years of relevant work experience are required with proven experience managing an international show jumping stable caring for high performance equestrian athletes. Other requirements: • Ability to travel to the United States and internationally preferred • Valid Drivers' license • Must speak English
