Equestrian center “Lazy Horse” is a purpose built 25 horse facility with 3 outdoor arenas+lungeing ring+turnout. We are a busy riding school providing instructions from beginner to advanced level; successful SJ and dressage competitive stable (Awarded “Best overall club in 2021 in Bosnia and Herzegovina” in Olympic disciplines), as well as a Riding holidays center. We pride ourselves in being a multicultural environment that is always looking to develop and progress further.
The job would consist of: participate in organizing, scheduling and conducting daily riding lessons for riders of all levels; follow the progress of riders, ensuring that they work towards their individual goals; assist in developing/implementing training plans and schedules for riders/horses of our competitive teams (SJ up to 1.20m, dressage up to Elementary level); assist in Stable/Yard management (NO mucking out): supervising stable staff, taking care of horses health and wellbeing, liaising with vet/farrier/clients, ensuring smooth running of all aspects of the Club (often Sole Charge); communicate and work with other members of staff, especially regarding the horses workload and wellbeing; occasionally lunge/ride horses and take small groups on trails; participate in organizing competitions/exams/summer camps; tackle other occasional duties as required by the circumstances etc.
The start date is 1st of April (negotiable).
Requirements
In addition to being skilled at the areas mentioned above, we would expect you to be a consummate and dedicated Horseman/woman; highly motivated, flexible and willing to learn/adapt/progress; responsible, reliable and well organized; capable of working both independently and as a part of the team; excellent, customer oriented communicator and teacher; positive, tidy and disciplined; always putting the horse first (the health and well-being of our horses is extremely important to us - most of them happily work both as school horses and sports horses, and we see them as an integral part of the team).

There is also a possibility of advancing to a Chief Instructor/Head trainer/Yard manager position, which could then progress to taking Sole responsibility for the whole Club. I have been employed by Lazy Horse Equestrian Centre from February 2019 to present day in the capacity of Yard Manager/Chief Instructor/Head Trainer and I can say that, after over 30 years in the business, this has been one of the best employers I worked for. The facilities are great, the horses are well taken care of, the job is varied and rewarding, communication is easy and direct, salary is on time and Rasim is an excellent boss. During my 4 seasons there we achieved a lot and raised the bar in the sport that was/is not that well known in Bosnia. All the people I met were friendly, the country is a wonderful melting pot of cultures, the food is delicious and the nature is pristine! Could not recommend more!
