Are you a responsible person that loves to be around horses and do you have ( a lot of ) experience in delivering foals, handling young stock? Are you able to coach young staff? We have an exceptional vacancy @ Jadem Arabians : “Caretaker & responsible of our beautiful breeding mares and lovely foals” We are looking for a new member to our team! We have around 90 Arabian horses, we have a breeding barn and a training barn. You will be responsible for taking care of the broodmares with foals and the young stock on the breeding side of the farm and for the daily management at the breeding barn, coaching a team of 4 people. For example feeding the mares and foals, assisting the vet, see to it that all the horses are healthy and look good. See to it that there is always enough food, hay, shavings, looking if the fields are ok, teaching our young staff to be responsible and the daily management. We expect around 25 foals each year that is why we look for someone who has experience delivering foals and who is able to do this by themselves (together with the veterinary). So you will have to take care of the yard and the horses in all aspects. It is important that you can work independently and also within a small team. We require a responsible person who will also notice and report problems of all kinds with the horses, equipment or infrastructure. Someone who loves horses and is willing to learn a lot about Arabian horses. Live in position is required. We provide an equipped apartment with private bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, living area and laundry room. For the past 40 years we have been running a breeding and training center for Arabian Horses. We are an internationally recognized stud for collecting and freezing of semen and export throughout the world from world famous Arabian stallions. Each year we expect around 25 foals of our own broodmares and some foals from client horses, quite a few of them by embryo transfer.
Apart from the breeding side we also train and prepare horses for shows and raise a lot of youngstock. We are proud of our nice facilities and strive for quality in all aspects of our work.
