Groom Stud Hand

Looking for a person to assist with small team of competition show jumping horses, young horses from foals upwards inc colts and general day to day tasks. Licence essential Position is live in, costs deducted from weekly pay package as agreed. You’ll be a part of the family so it’s important you have ability to keep tidy in communal areas Use of car for all work related activities and some private use Can have own horse at your own expense. Couples ok but work position is for 1 person. You are paid fixed weekly salary but job varies in hours can be as little as 30 and up to 50.p/wk We breed warmbloods and thoroughbreds on a small scale Exp with general riding a bonus if show jump exp super. Depending on riding may have opportunities to ride and compete Exp with young/green horses and colts a must Our son is 13yo so understanding a teen boy required, most are his competition horses so you will be required to assist with them and the breakers that he works with Job included but not limited Cleaning Stables Grooming (home & shows) General stud maintenance including harrowing paddocks mowing spraying etc Assisting stud clients with horses where needed Feeding Liaising with vets farriers etc ordering feed ensuring schedules are maintained for horses Yearling handling and prep inc sales

Applicant will have opportunity to, attain truck licence, learn various machinery uses and transport of horses with trailers and goosenecks Ability to work autonomously and see what needs to be done as part of looking after a horse stud on a day to day basis and keep clean Ability to maintain a tidy organised clean work place at all times a must Ability to work efficiently a must $$ Bonuses available for long term candidate.
