Bowness Stud & Watershed Farm near Young, NSW are seeking a full time, experienced stud and stable hands, specifically to handle weanlings coming through the barn for their next round of education.

The position then transitions into the foaling and breeding stud season Aug - November 2026.

This stud is a family run business that requires workers who can assist in all facets of the farm throughout the year, including: • weanling, foal & yearling handling/education; • broodmare breeding, care & foaling down; • confidence in treating and medicating horses (and overall health); • has a keen eye and attention to detail; • stallion handling/assistance; • mucking out stables, feeding, watering, washing, grooming, exercising young horses; • checking paddock horses, monitoring horse movements, keeping office records; • tidying stables and sheds, washing rugs and equipment; • farm maintenance - keeping paddocks clean and safe, fencing, trough maintenance; • experience in driving some farm machinery preferred;

• Must have excellent English speaking skills.

Must be willing to commit to the position for a minimum of 4+ months.
