Our program emphasizes the non-competitive aspects of English horsemanship, focusing on non-abusive riding, effective communication with the horse, skill development, and using horses to enhance a child's self image.
We strive to teach riding skills and horse care in a safe and fun atmosphere.
Staff implement program goals, organize riding schedule and lesson plans, perform horse care and barn duties.
The program typically uses 20-25 horses.
Beginning instruction starts in one of our five rings and progresses to jumping and trail riding throughout our 1,000 acre facility.
Other duties include instruction of riding to campers 7 to 16 years of age and general counselor work in other camp program areas.
