Camp Nicolet, Inc. is a traditional, overnight summer camp for girls in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Horseback Riding is one of seven main activity programs. We lease approximately 10 horses each summer, and campers - from beginner to advanced (and expert/jumpers) - learn and develop equestrian skills during the summer sessions. Camp offers instruction in the ring, fun & safe trail rides, and stable management-focused activities. We employ a Horseback Riding Staff of approximately 8 - and personnel includes Counselors/Instructors, an Area Director, and Riding Assistants who help with instruction but focus mostly on horse care and maintenance of the facility. The facility includes a Stables (c. 1950) with classic slip stalls, an annex with four box stalls, a hay storage area, a grain storage area, a building for tack, two instructional rings, a paddock, and a pasture with automatic horse waterer.
