Wagon Road Day Camp is owned and operated by Children’s Aid. It is located in Chappaqua, NY and serves 300 children ages 5.5 to 13 in each of the two sessions this summer. The children come from Westchester County and NYC. Camp operates from Jul. 5 to Aug. 12, 2022. The hours of operation are 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The job includes attending orientation and training. All specialists must attend 3 days of orientation, and 1 day in service. The Horsemanship Supervisor is responsible for the Horsemanship Program at the summer camp. This Horsemanship Specialist must develop a curriculum to teach campers about horses and create a program plan that enables all the campers to ride the horses in our corral. The Horsemanship Supervisor manages a staff of 2 and is responsible for equipment management and basic care of the 6 horses stabled at the camp. The Horsemanship Director is supervised by the Program Director. $26/hour. The Horsemanship Assistant is $16.75 an hour.
