Years and years of experience around horses starting colts to be quiet, andready to go on. also an eagerness to continue learning now that my kids are gone and I'm free to move onto different things, equestrianly. I also owned and showed stud horses during the last twenty years, and handled the breeding of such. I'm very experienced handling young stud horses
I've been independently starting young horses for the past fifteen years, on to their future jobs. Most of the colts I start go on to become either dressage horses, huter jumpers, or reiners
I began as an apprentice under a national level reining horse trainer, Ron Malthaner (hepassed away in 2004) .Irode and started colts for him for two years. When he passed away Itook over his barn in Horth Idaho, and rode their starting colts. I showed the AQHA circuit forabout five years, earning poiints and winning futurities with my young horses. I also showed some Arabian horses as a younger person. I attended as many clinics andtook llessons in the time from my early twenties onward. In ther pat five years Ive worked exclusively training young horses and not whoen at all
Starting young horses, the right way.
