Been riding almost my whole life, Im 20 years old & have been working in different stable environments for the past 6 yrs. For example on a riding school were I fed, mucked out, took horses in & out from paddocks, helped the riding students with preparations for the lessons, checked that all 50 horses were alright & closed the premises at night. Also worked at a riding camp with all different types of tasks thats needed in a stable. Work extra as a riding instructor for kids of the age 9 to 15. My first ten years of riding I went to riding schools & after that I started to help private riders with their horses. Ive also rented horses from time to time & lately riding some to make them fit in the riding camp business for children. I've competed a little just to get the horses some competition experience. This spring I also worked for accommodation 2 weeks at a thoroughbred stud in NZ with feeding the mares & foals as a main task but I also participated in some basic foal handling.
Daily stable tasks, a bit riding
Dressage, nothing advanced like piaffe etc, on a basic level. A bit show jumpng, also love trekking out in the nature.
I've only been competing on a really low level for the horse to get experience only.
