I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
I used to work as a Trail Guide in Wales, Therefor I have got experiences in taking out guests on my own, as well as caring for animals and guests.
I have been riding my whole life, like taking riding lessons regulary. In Wales I learned to ride young unexperienced horses too, as well as breaking them in. I took several jumping lessons and I am familiar with outdoor jumping too. In Wales I got to handle difficult situations on the mountains on my own, like people falling off, horses having injuries or horse shoes falling off. Additionally I took care of the horses before and afterwards, like feeding them, mocking them out and simply being there for them.
As my time in the vetenarian clinic I learned a lot sbout injuries and assistance, to handle difficult patients was one of my tasks as well.
The past 6 months I have been working at a vetenarian clinic for horses and small animals in Germany, where I got to gain a lot of knowledge about injuries, illnesses and surgery on both horses and animals.
4 years ago, with 16, I worked on a Welsh Horse Farm for 8 months. In the most busy time I took care of about 30 Horstes The winter months, when it was not that busy, I started to ride green horses, helping to break them in and training them to be ridden by clients.
