Ride my horse 5 times a week + regular school studying and class attendance
From the age of 8 I've tried many equine disciplines at least once (excluding in competition), including polocrosse, vaulting, dressage, showjumping and cross country. After riding in Sydney at various riding stables I I started riding regularly in Singapore at the age of 14 after my parents moved to Asia, competing in both dressage and showjumping. When I was 16 I made the crucial decision, with my family's support, to relocate to Australia and attend my current (boarding) school in order to own a horse and keep it on campus. I've now owned my ConnemaraXArabian for almost a year and have worked with her continuously on the flat (which has now excelled to more dressage training) and jumping, with a focus on competing in showjumping. As an inexperienced pony (14.3hh) with little training and show experience, I've worked extremely hard to improve both her skills and confidence, as well as my own to create a partnership which will hopefully take us to great heights.
Feeding, basic care (rugging, grooming, washing, tacking), riding, lungeing, competing.
Flat (basic dressage components), showjumping, trail riding
My family is non-horsey and it's been difficult to compete since moving Australia over a year ago - however attended competitions include 2016 Australian Showjumping Championships, various interschool competitions and regular monthly competitions and a Patrons Cup in Singapore. My main goal in in getting a temporary live-in job is to develop connections in the industry with like-minded, competitive horsey people (showjumping) in order to compete seriously on a very regular basis.
