  • Part Time Groom 34 hrs pw. Livery Yard, Oxon.

    Approx 34 hours a week to include Saturdays. Reasonably flexible on days. Yard hours are 7.30-12.30 and 1-5 pm so hours can be made up of a mixture of both or full days. Duties of Current Occupation

I have an extensive background in the equestrian space, having run a number of very successful yards for over 10 years. I also the founder of www.wannasellyourhorse.com. An equine community for everything equine.

Equine Work Experience

I have been fortunate enough to, among other things, manage a variety of independent yards as well as the biggest NGO yard in South Africa.

I have managed stable yards of up to 45 horses/ponies with responsibility of all day to day activities including:

  • Overseeing feeding and fodder requirements.
  • Management, training and devlepment of staff compliment.
  • Riding and schooling horses/ponies.
  • Paddock management.
  • Client management.
  • Overseeing of all veterinary needs.
  • Organisation of shows, events and clinics.
  • Organisation and conducting client lessons and lesson timetables.

I have also had the opportunity to found and establish the LEAP programme. The Legends Equestrian Adoption Programme (LEAP) sought to ensure ex racehorses off the track found a loving home and were given a second ‘career’.

Having moved to the UK in 2017, I have taken a year out of the equestrian scene and moved into the training and development space for Pearson Education.

I have come from an extremely horsey background, and have been producing and backing horses/ponies from the age of 16 for the show ring in various disciplines (dressage/showing/show jumping).
