URGENT Experienced Dressage Groom

Team Optimum Horses is looking for an experienced person for 3-4 dressage horses able to start as soon as possible.
Part Time Groom 34 hrs pw. Livery Yard, Oxon.

Approx 34 hours a week to include Saturdays. Reasonably flexible on days. Yard hours are 7.30-12.30 and 1-5 pm so hours can be made up of a mixture of both or full days. Come and join our friendly team at Lower Farm General Yard routine: feeding/haying/watering. Mucking out/ bedding down/sweeping. Rugging up/ turning out/ bringing in. Grooming/ bathing/tack cleaning. Other associated jobs ie building sj’s/ stable painting/hand walking. Riding is not required

Professional Rider, Eventing Trainer USEF "R" Cross Country course designer, ICP level 3 instructor is looking for a motivated working student. For the winter minimum or can be for as long as a year or more. Grooming, Feeding, General barn work, Exercising horses , helping with horses at shows, show grooming, Specialized care for all horses. Lots of on the job training. The ability to expand your knowledge of horsemanship, riding competition skills, training etc. I have brought many students up through the 4 and 5 star level in Eventing. In less than one year, our previous Working Student had progressed from Novice level to Preliminary on one of our horses. We are located in Maryland a short drive to VA, PA, NJ, DE, and many major events. We have a lovely place in Aiken where we spend our winters, Training, competing, producing young horses. There is lots of private lessons in this program. I focus on producing the education of the rider along with training and producing the horse that they bring into the program. Room and Board for your self and Board, Training is included for your horse. The meals are delicious, the accommodations are excellent. I am always willing to educate students on walking, planning, and riding, both SJ and XC courses. A very positive and motivated program, with lots of individualized instruction.

Would like someone who is a self starter and a personality that's great with clients and other staff. If any of the above required areas of expertise are limited, we are willing to train.
